I saw the doc today for another eye checkup. Two weeks out from surgery, my eye is in great shape, the graft has completely covered the lens and everything is healing at a proper pace. I'm sensitive to sunlight -- they removed the cataracts so everything is SO clear now -- but I was told that would subside with time. I have one more checkup in October and then I'm good to go.
Meanwhile, I'm cleared to ride a bike again, which is exactly what I plan to do tomorrow, to run a few errands, do a bit of off-season coffeeneuring and just meander around the larger neighborhood.
The second eye gets the same star treatment in mid-November.
